Sunday-Saturday
20-26 October
This has been the best week so far in London! On Monday I went to the Parent Trap house and did the handshake from the movie with my friend Melissa. (The actual house was under construction, but we went to the one across the street and pretended).
 |
| I don't have the group shot or edited video of the handshake because they're on someone else's camera, but I can't wait any longer to get the pictures, so here's just a shot of the house. |
Tuesday was the World Premiere for Thor 2, and a lot of girls went and got to see the stars and get autographs. I didn't go because I had class, but I still screamed of excitement when I looked through everyone else's pictures because I'm a good friend. I also got the BEST Thai green curry at a farmers market right by the church where I go to school, so I was in good spirits.
On Wednesday I went to Shake Shack (again!) for someone's birthday. I had heard Jersey Boys was having a special offer on tickets that night, so I invited a couple of people to go with me. We ended up getting 8th row seats for a really good student price. Being a student is hard, but it has several perks.

| We took a group shot outside by this poster. But of course it wasn't taken with my camera. |
Jersey Boys was so FUN! The songs reminded me of my mom, because she likes to play lots of Four Season's music. At the end I really wanted to dance and sing, so I did, and so did the girls with me. There were some older people in front of us who were LOVING it. Right after the cast took their bows, the lead started talking in a British accent about a charity event that was happening. We were all so shocked because a few seconds before he was doing a really thick Jersey accent. Our way home from the play was so weird. We were in the middle of a really busy area and a bunch of people came up to us to ask us where the clubs were and we ended up in a weird area trying to get to the Tube station. But it was funny, not scary so that was good.
Friday I went to climb the O2. What a great experience! Our climb guide was really nice, and the walk was not as hard as I thought it would be. We were harnessed in but it was super windy and I thought I might fall on the way down, but didn't have any trouble on the way up! The climbing path was made out of trampoline material so it was really bouncy. When we got to the top we got to take in the London scenery. We were dressed like astronauts and we looked so funny! When we got home my roommates and I had a huge movie watching party. It was great, and I'm so lucky to have such great people living in my house!

Hopefully I'll be able to get the rest of the pictures and videos soon so that I can remember what a fun week this was!

London looks like Paul's grandfather: Clean. (This joke brought to you courtesy of the classic 1964 film, A Hard Day's Night.)
